Job Description

Due to continued increase in the stores performance, we have 3 part temporary position available within our retail store concept; The Yorkshire Soap company based on Blake street in the beautiful city centre of York, with the right candidates this could lead to permanent positions for you.

We are looking for 3 part time team member to work 8 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. This will be to assist in store cover, service and sales. All candidates must be available to work weekends and week days. The role includes 2 4-8 hour shifts over 7 days trading.

Purpose of Role

The position of part time sales assistant in The Yorkshire Soap Company, a retail store like no other, is to welcome our customers and sell beautiful bath, body and gift products.

To maximise the number and value of sales by offering magical and exceptional customer service in line with The Yorkshire Soap Company customer service policy.

To maintain the high visual standards in the store and accept/process weekly deliveries.

To develop and grow into the future store management team members.

Key Results Areas

Achieve exceptional service standards by approaching and informing customers of the products and services offered in the store. (training will be given over your first few weeks) Acquire in-depth knowledge of the current product ranges, services and stock availability and ensure that all products are correctly priced and merchandised by adhering to the company visual merchandising guidelines and standards. Capture customer data to add to the company data base in line with GDPR regulations. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards. Comply with all Company standards and guidelines. Regularly clean the store and the off-site areas. Make sure that every customer you serve feels that magic in everything we do.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Proven record of excellent customer service and selling skills is desirable. Previous experience of working within a team is desirable.
