Retail Sales Associate

Join our team at Scoota Mart as a Retail Sales Associate and be part of a dynamic retail environment, no two days are the same!. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction. As well as the day to day duties of a retail store, the successful candidate may also be required to carry out basic servicing and repairs to mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs for which full training will be given.

The position offered is part of a 2 man team based at our Ashton-under-Lyne store in the Ladysmith shopping centre. Scoota Mart Ashton has it's own onsite service centre for servicing and repairs which is carried out by the store staff so some technical knowledge would be an advantage.

Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm Saturday. Actual working days and hours will be dependent on level of work and cover needed but 40 hours minimum.

Scoota Mart have 25+ years experience in the mobility retail sector and have been a long standing partner of the Motability scheme for many years. We currently have 10 stores across the North west of England providing mobility products to the whole of the UK, which we are looking to expand in the near future.

Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and merchandise products as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals

Skills:
- Full UK driving license and able to competently and with due care drive a transit sized van
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers
- Strong selling skills and ability to close sales
- Organizational skills to maintain a tidy sales floor
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash
- Phone etiquette for answering customer calls

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 47 per week
