Job Overview



We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic

Bakery Assistant

to join our retail team. In this role, you will help operate our small in-store bakery stand while also assisting with general store duties. You'll be the friendly face our customers see early in the morning, ensuring fresh bakery goods are ready and displayed attractively each day.

This is a

part-time position (16-24 hours per week)

with

early morning shifts starting at 6:00 am.



The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on work, have good attention to detail, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You must be able to

arrive reliably for early starts

and be physically capable of handling stock and receiving deliveries from suppliers.

Main Responsibilities



Preparing and displaying baked goods at the bakery stand each morning Providing excellent customer service and assisting with bakery and store sales Handling customer payments accurately and efficiently Receiving deliveries from suppliers (including lifting and unpacking stock) Assisting with stock replenishment, rotation, and ordering Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organized work area in accordance with food safety standards Supporting other store operations as required (e.g., till work, merchandising, general housekeeping) Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures

Requirements



Must be

18 years of age or older

Must be available for

early morning shifts (6:00 am start)

Part-time availability:

16-24 hours per week Reliable transport to and from the store for early shifts Physically capable of handling stock and deliveries Previous experience in

retail, bakery, or customer service

preferred Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude Good time management and the ability to work independently High standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene

Nice to have:



A

full UK driving licence

Casual wear (training and uniform guidance provided)

Full training provided on bakery and store procedures Morning shifts currently prioritized (6:00 am - 10:00 am)
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
