Job Description
We are currently looking for a friendly, honest, hard-working Shop assistant who can work both as part of a team and independently to help the smooth running of our store, has a sense of humour and is flexible to work various shifts and weekends, also filling in during staff holidays.
To be successful as a sales associate you must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities:
Greet customers, providing quality, personable customer service Ring up purchases, accurate balancing of till at end of shift. Receive and checkout Parcels from customers accurately and with a smile. Keep the shop floor and storeroom neat, organized and clean. Re-Stocking shelves when a product is running out.
Retail Sales Associate Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic mathematic skills. Ability to work flexible hours. Prior experience in retail. Ability to work in a team. Ability to operate point of sale software Good team player Able to multi-task Great written and verbal communication skills Works well in fast-paced environments, and be productive during slow periods. Flexibility to complete different tasks, and to adjust to changes in the needs of the business as needed each day. Candidates should enjoy working with the public, be able to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift up to 20kg, and climb stepping stool during course of restocking and serving customers.
We can only accept applications of candidates that are 18 years old or above because the role involved selling and handling of alcoholic and/or tobacco goods.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 18 per week
Experience:
Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
