Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks. Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting theft or vandalism. Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including providing first aid if necessary. Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and observations. Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and issuing visitor passes. Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required. Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred. Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. First aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided. Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed. Valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations is advantageous.
