Job Overview We are looking for a brilliant and dedicated Security Officer holding a valid SIA Badge to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our clients, their staff, and property within a high-profile retail store. This position requires a proactive approach to security, exceptional observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring the security of doors, windows, and access points. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, carrying out thorough investigations where necessary. Operate and monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to oversee activities within the facility. Provide first aid and CPR when required, safeguarding the health and safety of individuals during emergencies. Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions in clear and detailed reports. Liaise with law enforcement agencies as necessary during investigations or emergency situations. Implement and support loss prevention measures to minimize theft and property damage. Effectively manage conflicts by applying de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. Requirements Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Strong knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention practices. First Aid and CPR certification is highly advantageous. Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Keen observational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
