Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. Responsibilities

Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches. Monitor access points to ensure only authorised personnel enter restricted areas. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as required. Maintain detailed incident reports and logs accurately for future reference and investigations. Enforce company policies and safety procedures consistently across all areas of responsibility. Assist in emergency situations by providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services if required. Conduct routine inspections of security equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any faults or issues.

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred. Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security monitoring equipment. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats swiftly. Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and emergency response protocols. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear reports. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally. Organised with a keen eye for detail and adherence to safety standards. Ability to maintain reports by way of using Microsoft word/excel. Valid security certification or licence is desirable on site training will be provided. This position provides an essential service in maintaining a secure environment for all staff and visitors, with opportunities for ongoing professional development within the security sector.
