Job Description

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our store, staff, and customers. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring customer activity, identifying suspicious behavior, and preventing theft and other criminal activities within the premises. You will be expected to conduct regular patrols of the store, respond swiftly to security incidents, and provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor. Additionally, you may be required to operate CCTV systems, check access control points, and liaise with local law enforcement when necessary.
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. Previous experience in a security or loss prevention environment is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, and be comfortable standing or walking for extended periods. A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is required.
