Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and customer-focused Retail Security Officer (LUT1) to join our team, ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting stock, deterring theft, and upholding a professional presence on the shop floor. Your main responsibilities will include carrying out regular patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, and responding promptly to any suspicious activity or incidents within the premises. You will be expected to conduct bag and receipt checks in line with company policy, liaise effectively with store management, and support law enforcement when required.
As a Retail Security Officer, you must demonstrate excellent observation and communication skills, remaining calm under pressure while dealing tactfully with members of the public. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a security role, preferably within a retail environment, and hold a valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude are essential, as is the ability to complete accurate written incident reports and follow security procedures. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.
