Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Retail Security Officer (LUT1) to join our dedicated team, ensuring the safety and security of our retail premises. As a Retail Security Officer, you will act as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour, providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. Your main duties will include monitoring CCTV systems, conducting regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas, and responding swiftly to any incidents. You will be responsible for reporting all suspicious activity, apprehending individuals when necessary in accordance with company procedures, and liaising with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
In this role, you will also be expected to provide excellent customer service, assisting customers and staff with any security-related queries. Maintaining accurate and detailed incident reports is essential, as is adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. You will work closely with store management to implement loss prevention strategies and support the enforcement of store policies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanour, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required, and previous experience in a retail security environment is highly desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
