This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as needed. Utilize surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activities within the facility. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals in emergency situations. Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in a clear and concise manner. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. Manage conflicts effectively by employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Requirements

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Strong understanding of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
