Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and emergency response, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are upheld at all times.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance coverage. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with staff and visitors, ensuring their safety concerns are addressed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of loss prevention practices is beneficial. Certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to undergo training if not certified is expected. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
