Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Retail Security Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and staff. Your primary duties will include patrolling the premises, monitoring CCTV surveillance systems, and responding promptly to any suspicious activity or security incidents. You will act as a visible deterrent to shoplifting, anti-social behavior, and theft, ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Additionally, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and staff with security-related queries in a courteous and approachable manner.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in a security role is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is required. You should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently, and possess good communication skills to effectively liaise with law enforcement, store management, and customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
