Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as required. Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including access points, to identify potential security risks. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals on site. Collaborate with local law enforcement when required during incidents or investigations. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any breaches of security protocols.

Skills

Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts. Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies. Experience operating CCTV systems effectively for monitoring purposes. Basic first aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to undergo training is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with diverse individuals. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to remain calm under pressure. A keen understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
