Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Retail Security Officer to join our team and ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers, staff, and premises. In this vital role, you will be responsible for deterring theft, monitoring suspicious activity, and providing a visible security presence on the shop floor. Your daily duties will include patrolling the store, monitoring CCTV cameras, conducting bag checks where required, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies. You will work closely with store management and law enforcement as needed, ensuring all security protocols are followed and accurate incident reports are completed.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and a calm demeanor under pressure. Previous experience in a security or customer service role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must be able to remain standing or walking for extended periods and be comfortable engaging with a diverse range of people in a professional and respectful manner. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence or be willing to obtain one.
