Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss, and responding promptly to any incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. The Security Officer will play a vital part in maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets.

Duties

Conduct regular surveillance patrols of the premises using CCTV systems and physical inspections. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing customer behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism. Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid when necessary. Record incident reports accurately and maintain detailed logs of daily activities and security concerns. Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and authorisation of visitors and staff. Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies. Maintain a visible presence on-site to deter potential threats and reassure staff and visitors.

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, CCTV operation, or loss prevention is highly desirable. Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and first aid certification. Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks quickly. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally. Organised with a keen eye for detail to ensure all security measures are consistently upheld. Physically fit to patrol large areas on foot if required and respond promptly to incidents. Pay: 12.21-17.14 per hour
