Blue Arrow are looking for a Retail Store Designer to start asap and will be on going for 6 months with scope for extension.

You will work full-time in the office for initial training and then 3 days per week thereafter (Tuesday-Thursday), Monday and Friday will be worked from home.

Job Summary:
- To create block plans and resulting fixture layouts for new TJX Europe stores of any fascia, to an agreed programme and drive through the approval process of the fixture plan. To minimise deviations from the agreed block plan and ensure all fixture layouts are in accordance with the principles of store design as published by Store Design.
- To carry out fixture drawing changes to existing sites in accordance with the agreed branding and store design principles.
- To visit site during the project to ensure best use of architecture and space for fixturing. Resolve fixturing questions and / or raise questions to the Team Leader or AVP for other issues that affect the store design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive Revit model of new stores and produce a fixture layout that meets merchandise capacity requirements and the brand identity needs. Liaise closely with Store Merchandising and Store Operations to agree the fixture layouts at weekly meetings.
- To ensure that all modifications to the original Revit model are discussed with the Team Leader or AVP at the regular weekly meetings to ensure all parties agree on the solutions being used
- Create signage plans in accordance with Store Design agreed design and standards
- Provide completed Revit merchandising capacity, fixtures and signage schedules for each completed fixture layout presented at an appropriate point to support the presentation
- Producing site specific presentation material for Store Design
- Present own work in approval meetings with stakeholders, record the changes agreed and provide amends in accordance with the generic published project timescale until the drawings are agreed
- Provide Project Managers with approved plans to assist with the new store opening and relocation / refurbishment programme. Act as the main contact for design-related questions for the Construction team throughout the process until the store is handed over.
- Arrange site visits as necessary to understand the nature of the site and architecture of the building to ensure the best use of space from the fixture layout and signage arrangements
Key Skills, knowledge, and Experience
- Degree level or above in Architecture, Interior Design, Design Technology or similar
- Experience and understanding of store design and management of drawing production
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop
- Working knowledge of 3D modelling
- An understanding of the mechanics of shopfitting equipment
- An appreciation of the shopping traits of retail customers, common fixture design and visual merchandising principles
- Able to visualise store design in 3D to appreciate the use of signage and merchandising
