We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that sales targets are met while maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties
This role involves a variety of tasks, from managing inventory and implementing marketing strategies to handling customer complaints and motivating the team.
Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and conducting regular stocktakes.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue.
Communicate effectively with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
Provide training and support to staff, promoting professional development and team management skills.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to enhance the store's appeal.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and phone etiquette.
Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management on store performance.
Essential criteria:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with customers and staff alike.
The ability to understand and behave at all times towards customers, visitors, and colleagues
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification at level 6 is essential.
Professional appearance and demeanour
Ability to work flexibly, including long shifts and weekends.
Other Qualifications and Desirable criteria:
Proven experience in retail management or a similar role, with strong management/training skills.
An additional qualification in English and Accounts/Math is desirable but not essential. A good knowledge of math and accounting is required to perform inventory, sales, and profit and loss calculations as part of your job role.
Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of supervising teams effectively.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
Bilingual candidates are preferred to cater to a diverse customer base.
Ability to sell products confidently while providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to innovate and manage change
