Job Role Overview:
The Retail Supervisor plays a key role in supporting store operations by ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining smooth day-to-day performance. This role involves leading by example, resolving customer queries, and stepping in to cover shifts during staff shortages or absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Handling:
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing queries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure all team members provide a positive and helpful customer experience.
Handle difficult customers with patience and effective problem-solving.
Team Supervision:
Oversee the performance of retail staff during shifts.
Support with onboarding and mentoring new employees.
Ensure staff adhere to company policies, dress code, and service standards.
Shift Management:
Open and close the store as required.
Step in to cover shifts during staff absences or busy periods.
Manage daily shift schedules and ensure appropriate coverage at all times.
Sales & Store Operations:
Assist in achieving daily sales targets and store goals.
Monitor stock levels and report or replenish when necessary.
Maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness standards.
Reporting & Communication:
Report any issues to the Store Manager, including customer feedback or operational concerns.
Support in preparing daily sales reports or shift summaries if required.

Confident in handling customer complaints
Reliable, flexible, and willing to take initiative
