We have stores across the country from Central London to the Scottish Highlands. Each of these stores are staffed by people with a passion for the mountains and the kit required. Our staff are there to guide customers through our collection of the greatest outdoor and snow sports brands available.

As a supervisor you will be pivotal in helping drive and motivate the team to ensure overall success. This is a great first step on your journey to becoming a retail leader of the future.

What you'll be doing:

-Representing Ellis Brigham working in alignment with, and contributing to, our Mission, Vision and Values
-Creating an open and friendly environment in our stores to ensure everyone feels welcome.
-Working with the whole store team to deliver outstanding customer service and reach the store targets.
-Helping customers select the best products for their needs - from walking their dog in the UK to climbing the world's biggest mountains.
-Continuously developing your knowledge and expertise around our products and sports to ensure you have the best skills possible.
-Ensuring the shop floor is covered by staff according to the needs of customers and in line with the Store Manager's instructions and expectations
-Mentoring, coaching and training Retail Assistants to enable them to carry out their duties and fulfil their potential
-Managing the store together with the other Supervisors in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
-Managing staff, prioritising and delegating tasks on a day-to-day basis
-Carrying out store operations with care and accuracy: Cashing Up, Health and Safety, Warranties, Stock Management, Store Opening

Who you are:

-You have great communication skills and can easily interact with a diverse mix of people.
-You have worked in previous customer facing roles or can demonstrate your ability to engage with customers.
-You may have experience in similar managerial roles.
-You are honest, hardworking and take pride in what you do.
-You are willing to learn and actively look for development.
-You are comfortable working in a team and taking direction, but also confident to make your own decisions and run a small team.
-You enjoy outdoor mountain sports or are keen to immerse yourself in the outdoor world.
-You want to work in an environment where every day can be different and that hard work and good fun go hand in hand.
-You are fluent in English - other languages are a plus.
-You are flexible when it comes to working weekends, evenings and bank holidays when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.85 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
