PART TIME/WEEKEND JOB

CHARITY SHOP : TEMPORARY RETAIL SUPERVISION/CUSTOMER SUPPORT LEAD

IMMEDIATE START FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

NIAS charity shop requires the services of an experienced retail supervisor with clean driver's licence to assist with an orderly wind down of the shop. The post holder will manage a team of volunteers shop assistants. The team will be responsible for selling second hand furniture, bric-a-brac, and fashion items. Arranging pick up and delivery to and from customers' homes in the Wimbledon area.

The job holder will be required to work with minimal direct supervision and communicate with the line manager as necessary.

List of works to be carried out:

Helping customers to decide best choice of second hand furniture for their requirements Assist customers/donors to schedule furniture deliveries to and from their homes Assist furniture delivery drivers to schedule and complete customer deliveries Guide and support small team of volunteers assigned to the household items, fashion and furniture sections of the charity shop Merchandising; displaying available stock in the most appealing manner for achieving a sale Moving furniture inside and outside the customers' homes/our shop Help with reassembling disassembled furniture pieces Generally being cordial in dealing with donors/customers. Recruit additional volunteers and helpers as may be required Coordinate volunteers supporters to maximise communcations and sales via social media platforms Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy and safe for both customers and staff Facilitate a fun, inspiring and positive experience for volunteers and regular customers as the shop winds down.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: 14.13-15.60 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
