About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Retrofit Site Manager
to lead and manage the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects across the Northern Home Counties region. You will be responsible for ensuring that works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance, in line with PAS 2035 and all relevant regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced Site Manager who is passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency, and improving the performance of existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of retrofit and energy efficiency projects on site.
Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
Oversee delivery of works including:
External and internal wall insulation
Loft insulation
Low-carbon heating installations (e.g., heat pumps)
Solar PV and other renewable technologies
Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve quality and productivity targets.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
Liaise with residents and tenants to manage communication, access, and progress updates.
Maintain accurate site records including reports, risk assessments, and variations.
Monitor progress against programme and report any delays or issues.
Carry out quality control checks and manage snagging processes.
Work closely with Retrofit Coordinators, Assessors, and Designers to ensure works align with project specifications.
Support compliance audits and ensure funder and client requirements are met.
Essential Criteria
Proven experience as a Site Manager within retrofit, energy efficiency, or decarbonisation projects.
Strong understanding of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 compliance.
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Site Management.
Retrofit Site Supervisor training (TrustMark/PAS 2035-aligned).
Experience working in occupied properties (social housing preferred).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong IT and reporting skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, site management software).
Full UK Driving Licence.
First Aid at Work certification.
