or similar software. This role plays a key part in assessing homes for retrofit and energy improvement projects under government-backed schemes.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while engaging professionally with homeowners. A valid
UK driving licence
and willingness to travel to different locations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
comprehensive property surveys
of residential homes to assess suitability for retrofit and insulation measures.
Take
accurate measurements
, room dimensions, and property details, ensuring data precision and completeness.
Capture
clear, well-structured photographs
of internal and external property elements, including lofts, walls, and heating systems.
Produce
detailed floor plans and layout drawings
using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Identify key construction features, insulation types, and potential energy efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with retrofit coordinators, assessors, and installation teams to provide accurate survey information for project design.
Maintain organized survey records and ensure data integrity in line with company and compliance standards.
Communicate effectively with customers during site visits, explaining the survey process professionally and courteously.
Travel across assigned areas to complete site visits as scheduled, adhering to company timescales and quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a
Property Surveyor
,
Retrofit Surveyor
, or similar surveying role.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
,
SketchUp
, or other drawing software for creating floor plans.
Strong understanding of
residential property structures
and building elements.
Excellent
attention to detail
, organisational, and time-management skills.
Strong
verbal and written communication
skills for liaising with both customers and internal teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage fieldwork independently.
Full UK driving licence
and willingness to travel regularly to property sites.
Knowledge of retrofit, energy efficiency, or housing improvement projects is desirable but not mandatory, training can be provided.
