The Role
At Encore we are growing, we're looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our team. You'll manage the full billing cycle, including debtors control, while supporting the Financial Accountant with month-end tasks and assisting the Financial Controller during the year-end audit. Strong attention to detail and confident communication with both internal and external stakeholders are key to success in this role
What You'll Do
Working closely with our Financial Accounting team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth revenue operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating monthly and quarterly fee invoices using established routines, as well as raising ad hoc invoices as needed
  • Supporting the automation of billing processes to improve efficiency
  • Recording customer payments accurately in QuickBooks
  • Performing monthly fee reconciliations, comparing billed vs. budgeted amounts and investigating variances
  • Assisting with month-end revenue recognition (accrued and deferred income calculations)
  • Taking ownership of debtors control, proactively chasing outstanding invoices (Internally between departments)
  • Collaborating with Estate Management and Business Development teams to set up new client billing and manage internal debt collection
  • Performing monthly reconciliations between internal systems to ensure accuracy
  • Supporting month-end reporting with tasks like accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with departmental reporting and analysis
  • Contributing to a smooth year-end audit process
  • Pitching in with other ad hoc finance tasks as required
What You'll Bring
  • AAT Level 4 Qualified, or ACCA/ACA/CIMA Part-qualified
  • Around 3 years' experience in an accounting role
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Qube software is desirable but not essential
  • Experienced user of Excel
