About the Role




As Revenue Management Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of CrossCountry Trains while enhancing the customer experience.


This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team of route analysts, influence strategic decisions, and pioneer innovative revenue management techniques that directly shape how thousands of passengers travel every day.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, mentor, and develop a team of route analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and customer-centric decision-making. Monitor performance against KPIs, providing actionable insights to the Revenue Management and wider Commercial Teams. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure revenue management strategies align with overall business objectives. Analyse demand patterns, booking curves, and market trends to recommend strategic actions that optimise revenue and yield. Work closely with the Revenue Management Systems Manager and Operations Specialist to optimise systems, trial innovative approaches, and deliver revenue targets while addressing crowding.

About You



Essential Skills and Experience



Strong understanding of revenue management concepts, theories, techniques, and related systems. Proven experience in revenue or yield management. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Effective communicator and motivator, able to inspire a team of analysts to achieve results. Excellent analytical skills, with experience working with large datasets, setting KPIs, and identifying trends and opportunities. Proactive, commercially minded, and passionate about data-driven revenue optimisation.

Desired Skills and Experience



Experience in the railway sector. Undergraduate degree (or currently studying) in business, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. Understanding of railway pricing strategies.
