This is an exciting time to join the Account Management Team at Rotherham Borough Council.
We are looking to recruit a Revenues and Benefits Officer working in the Debt Recovery team in Account Management, which is responsible for the delivery of Council Tax, National Non-Domestic Rates, Benefits, Sundry Debts and Social Care payments service.
You will deliver excellent customer service to members of the public including the accurate and speedy processing of customer accounts for council tax and/or national non-domestic rates, often involving debt negotiation.
You must have the ability to use a range of computer applications and be highly organised. You will be an excellent communicator and decision maker who is able to work as part of a team as well as independently. You will be dedicated and committed and will positively embrace change.
We work within the Council's hybrid policy, offering a flexible approach to work remotely and in the office to accommodate the needs of the service.
We appreciate working 37 hours per week may not be an option for some potential candidates therefore considerations will be given to reduced hours, please indicate this in your application.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
