About the role
We are looking for two motivated individuals with an interest in data entry/analysis and a passion for providing excellent customer service to join our Council Tax and Business Rates teams. As a Revenues Assistant you'll undertake a number of tasks to ensure we are asking our residents to pay the right amount at the right time. This includes ensuring our customer information is accurate and up to date, setting up payment arrangements, applying the correct reliefs and exemptions and employing recovery methods, all whilst dealing proactively and sensitively with debtors to influence prompt repayment. There is also an element of general office administration and production of data for analysis.

About you
You must have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/5 or above (or equivalent qualifications /
experience) and a proven track record of working in a customer facing role. With excellent written and
verbal communication skills you will also have a methodical approach to be able to process high volumes of work accurately and efficiently. Proficient in the use of customer relationship management software and Microsoft office packages as well as able to build rapport with and listen to customers, you will be able to simultaneously update systems whilst dealing with the customer. Ideally, you will also have a good knowledge of Council Tax or Business Rates legislation and experience of debt recovery however, training will be provided.
