Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related issues for Network Rail. We\'re responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain\'s railway. Brief Description

What will you be doing?

In this dynamic role, you\'ll be at the heart of a busy team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient collaboration. From organising a range of meetings to coordinating schedules and venues, arranging travel when necessary, and producing and circulating essential documents, you\'ll be the go-to person for making meetings run like clockwork. Additionally, you\'ll be responsible for managing and organising team email inboxes, ensuring prompt responses to stakeholders, and alerting the team to any urgent matters.

You\'ll play a vital role in processing job evaluation requests, meticulously checking for completeness and following up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate data, information, and records will be key, as you collate, validate, update, and organize databases and filing systems to agreed standards. Day-to-day, you\'ll be the point of contact for a variety of queries, providing accurate and customer-focused responses and escalating issues to senior team members when necessary. Attending meetings, taking comprehensive notes, and following up on action items will contribute to the accuracy and effectiveness of meeting records.

Communication is essential in this role, as you\'ll keep the team informed of progress, developments, and any issues that arise, enabling them to plan and deliver outstanding service to the business. You\'ll also have the opportunity to support the team by conducting research and contributing to projects aligned with team objectives. Your keen eye for improvement will be valued as you identify and suggest enhancements to administrative processes, actively implementing agreed changes to ensure the team provides a high-quality service. With your exceptional organisational skills and proactive approach, you\'ll thrive in this multifaceted role, making a significant impact on the team\'s success.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

In this exciting opportunity, we\'re seeking individuals with a diverse set of skills and experiences to excel in this role. Previous experience in an administrative capacity is highly desirable, as it will provide a solid foundation for success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, is a must, as these tools will be integral to your daily tasks. Clear and accurate communication skills, both written and spoken, will be essential in conveying information effectively and building confidence when interacting with others.
