We are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedRF Algorithms Engineer to play a key role in advancing our drone detection and airspace awareness capabilities. This position combines expertise in RF systems, advanced signal processing, and software development to design and implement algorithms that detect, identify, and track drones and their control signals in real time.




As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with systems engineering and sensor integration specialists to develop robust, deployable solutions for live operational environments. Your contributions will directly enhance the performance and precision of our situational awareness products, supporting mission-critical applications for defence, security, and critical infrastructure protection.

Key Skills and Experience





Degree level qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of RF communications, including modern digital modulation techniques and protocols used by drones. Skilled in MATLAB for modeling, simulating, and analyzing RF signal detection, estimation, and processing techniques. Experience in Python or C/C++ programming, and using object oriented code. Knowledge of developing complex algorithms and ability to analyse existing algorithms. Background in version control such as Git. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with minimal supervision. Able to document and communicate innovative solutions to complex problems in a clear and concise manner. UK SC clearance (or eligibility for one) due to the sensitive nature of some projects.

Desirable Experience







Proven experience in signal intelligence, electronic warfare (EW), ideally within a drone or aerospace context. Experience working with defence, aerospace, or public safety organisations. Knowledge of drone detection technologies such as ADS-B, MLAT, RF direction-finding, TDoA. Experience with AI and machine learning models applied to signal analysis and threat detection. Familiarity with commercial or open-source SIGINT software (e.g., GNU Radio, SDR platforms). Knowledge of working with Jira or other project management tools. Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as scrum or Kanban. Proven team player who has worked in cross functional teams of hardware and software engineers.
