RF Electronics Design Engineer

The Role

We urgently require an experienced RF Electronics Design Engineer to join our team.

Full time role. 37.5 hours per week

Work Location: At our factory in Brighouse, West Yorkshire HD6 4AB

Overall Responsibility Summary

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in board-level and system-level RF electronics design.

You will be responsible for RF system and hardware designs from initial concept through requirements definition, architecture definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, qualification testing, manufacturing and in life support.

Hardware design tasks will include block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations and design test on Receivers, Transmitters, Synthesizers, VCOs, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, mixers, filters and frequency conversion.

Proven practical RF design at component level and testing of RF circuits across a wide frequency range 5MHz to 31.5GHz

Proficient in RF fundamentals. Impedance matching, passive RLC, filter design, linearity, harmonics, noise figure analysis etc.

Proficient in professional simulation tools such as ADS or similar, as well as EDA tools such as EasyPC/PADS or similar.

Extensive hands-on experience with test instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators and oscilloscopes, power meters and signal generators.

Proven experience of design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of baseband, IF, and RF circuits

Salary

50,000.00-75,000.00 per year depending on experience

Hours

Monday to Friday (Mon-Thurs 08:30-16:45 and Fri 08:30-15:30)

Experience

A degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics or a similar related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in design and analysis of RF electronics and systems.
