Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing high-quality nursing care to patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized medical offices.

Duties


The Registered Nurse will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:

Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized care plans. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Performing IV infusions, wound care, catheterization, and other nursing procedures. Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to changes in their condition. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options. Assisting with diagnostic evaluations and laboratory specimen collection/processing as needed. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements


Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in acute care, critical care, emergency medicine, or long-term care preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation standards. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for patient documentation and data management. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices. Ability to perform physical examinations, administer injections, venipuncture, and manage airway situations when necessary. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred skills may include: Botulinum toxin treatment, ophthalmology experience, cardiac catheterization knowledge, dialysis management, triage skills, pain management expertise, case management experience, behavioral health familiarity, home & community care experience, as well as familiarity with critical care transport protocols.
