Job Description

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to work in our nursing home.

WE DO NOT TAKE AGENCY REFERRALS AND WE DO NOT HAVE A SPONSORSHIP LICENCE

We provide care for 26 residents from the age of 50+ with a range of mental health needs, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

We are a family run nursing home and dedicated to providing a happy and safe environment, giving each of our residents as much choice as possible over their care and daily routines.

We are looking for a dedicated Registered adult nurses to work 12.25 hours(1 day shift) per week (Possibility of picking up extra hours during peak holiday times should you wish).

You will ideally have some experience of working with people with mental health needs, elderly and/or dementia care.

Your main duties will be:

To provide nursing care to our residents, which may include wound management, intravenous medications, stoma care on occasion.

To take responsibility for, and effectively supervise the day to day running of your shift and to ensure that the care is of a high standard at all times and to bring any issues you may have to the attention of the nursing home manager.

To be aware of each service user's needs.

To be the named nurse for a small number of service users and to take responsibility for updating their care plans and leasing with their key worker to ensure all needs are being met.

To lead a team of Health Care Assistants in carrying out their roles, with the help of senior carers during the shift.

To carry out medication rounds and medication monitoring.

To attend nurses meetings

To attend training sessions required for your role
