About The Role

We're looking for Ride-on Mower Drivers to help maintain and improve parks and open spaces within the Borough of Fareham.

As part of a team you will:

Maintain grass in our parks, along road verges and play areas following a set route Clear leaf-fall from open space areas Inspect sites and let your supervisor know of any problems you spot Sweep, collect and remove litter, rubbish and animal waste Complete very basic paperwork This is a temporary, seasonal post but there is a possibility of a permanent position becoming available.

The working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

About You

You will need to have a full, valid UK driving licence.

Full training for the Ride on Mower will be provided to the successful applicants.

You will have a mature attitude and able to work without close supervision and communicate with our customers in a professional way.

It's important that you have the ability to get on well with your team and have a steady and methodical approach to work.

We intend to hold a recruitment morning on 10 February 2026 with successful applicants starting in the position at the end of February.
