The Role: 
 We are looking to recruit two new Rights of Way Officers to join the West and East Area Access Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the direct management of public rights of way across Hampshire, open access land and other forms of public access to the countryside, such as the Service's own sites. You will ensure that this access is protected, maintained, developed, and promoted to a high standard, in line with Hampshire County Council's Countryside Access Plan priorities and relevant legislation. 
What you'll do: 
 You will manage a wide-ranging programme of work, including line managing a three person Area Access Ranger Team who carry out practical maintenance across the network. Working closely with the Area Countryside Access Manager, you will develop, plan, and deliver your own work programme to ensure high-quality access throughout the rights of way network. The role involves regular travel across the area to inspect public rights of way and requires close collaboration with countryside colleagues, landowners, members of the public, stakeholders, and contractors. 
What we're looking for: 
 We are seeking candidates with significant experience in rights of way work and a strong understanding of relevant legislation. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, a full driving licence, and access to a vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the role.
