Rise.Life aims to help vulnerable adults and children across Chesterfield care and education settings with limited mobility, get active, have fun and improve their wellbeing and fitness through our unique '
adapted seated sports
' programme, which enables people to experience the joy of games while playing and competing together.
Duties:
- Plan and lead engaging activities for vulnerable participants across varying care settings
- Provide instructions and guidance to participants in various activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities
- Set up and clean up activity areas before and after each session
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and progress
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive environment
Experience:
- Previous experience is desirable but training is provided
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of different activity types and techniques
As an Activity Leader, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire individuals through our engaging seated sports programme. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about improving the quality of life for vulnerable adults and children.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and leading various sporting activities for participants. You will provide instruction, guidance, and support to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Your creativity, communication skills, and ability to connect with others will be essential in creating a positive environment.
To be successful in this role you need to have strong communication skills, bubbly personality, energy, patience, and the ability to work well with individuals of all ages and backgrounds are also important. Knowledge of different activity types and techniques is beneficial.
Sessions are typically sports sessions in different homes between 10am to 4pm. Applicants must have their own transport (required to carry sports kit) and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS which will be paid for. The role is a zero hour contract.
ALL applicants MUST live in the Chesterfield area.
21 per session (14 per hour + 7 for local mileage and travel time). Sessions lasts 60 minutes.
We currently have contracted partnerships with major care providers such as Cygnet Healthcare, Voyage Care, Potens, Prime Life, Exemplar, Quality Care, Nexus Trust, EMH, Anchor Care plus many more.
