The Role




We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Assurance Industrial Placement to join our Risk & Assurance team in our Bristol office, spanning all areas of governance, this is a `window` into the wider business activities.


The vision of the team is to actively support and partner with our operational teams and wider colleagues; helping them to identify and manage risk and provide assurance over quality and compliance, in turn, helping them to deliver a first class student experience.


The Risk & Assurance team is focused on all aspects of governance including assurance assignments, risk, controls, policy, compliance and data protection.


What You`ll Be Doing




Provide independent assurance on our Governance, Risk Management, and Controls Support the Internal Audit Manager in the delivery of the annual internal assurance programme of internal audits Assist the Head of Risk with the identification and monitoring of business risks at Unite Students, working with colleagues across the business to help them manage risks in their areas Work with the Operational Compliance team to deliver audits and present results Assisting on data protection projects - managing the risks associated with personal data

What We`re Looking for in You




Working towards an undergraduate degree with a technology, business or legal element e.g. maths, business, accountancy, law, economics Seeking a 12-month placement before returning to your final year of study A keen interest in risk management, assurance and controls Someone who is self-reliant, eager to learn and enjoys solving problems
