FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Risk Assurance Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 8-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Risk Assurance Manager to lead and support assurance activities relating to compliance with Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRR) that govern the calculation and disclosure of Own Funds, Eligible Liabilities, and all Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) risk types.

The successful candidate will work across Risk, Treasury, Finance, and control functions, ensuring that regulatory interpretations are robust, evidence-based, and aligned with both internal governance standards and external regulatory expectations.
This position requires a deep understanding of prudential regulation, excellent judgement, and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in a complex and high-impact environment.

Lead and support activities to evidence and document compliance with LRR requirements across Own Funds, Eligible Liabilities, and all RWA risk types
Critically review compliance conclusions from Treasury and Finance, including assessment of supporting evidence
Independently assess and challenge rule interpretation proposals based on regulatory guidance and best practice
Act as a central point of expertise within Risk for capital and liquidity rule requirements, advising on the interpretation and application to complex transactions
Coordinate assurance activities with Finance control teams and support cross-functional alignment
Represent the function at key governance and management committees, providing subject matter expertise and regulatory insight
