Risk Lead for IMO: Join us as an IMO L1 Risk Lead and play a pivotal role in driving effective risk management across the Castle Integration Programme.
As a key member of our Programme IMO team, you'll work closely with the Programme Director, Product Owners, L1 business functions and risk partners across Ageas to ensure risks are identified, managed and evidenced in line with the Ageas UK Risk Management Framework.
This is a highly visible and influential role, acting as the bridge between the Programme and our L2 Risk and L3 Audit teams - ensuring strong governance, a proactive risk culture and consistent risk assurance across all workstreams.
Main Responsibilities as Risk Lead for IMO:

  • Lead the Programme's risk management approach, ensuring alignment with the RMF, governance expectations and strong risk culture across all workstreams.
  • Oversee and quality-assure risk, issue and assumption management, including risk identification, assessment, treatment and reporting, ensuring high-quality logs and effective actions.
  • Support business readiness and control effectiveness, prompting teams to review and evidence control design and operation throughout transition states.
  • Embed and oversee risk management tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint), ensuring high-quality data: risk logs, assessments, KRIs, controls, readiness and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate and monitor risk events and lessons learned, driving root cause analysis, tracking actions and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary liaison with L2 Risk and L3 Audit, coordinating responses, actions and oversight while providing clear risk reporting, insights and facilitation of risk forums.
Skills and experience you need as Risk Lead for IMO:
  • Proven experience in L1 or L2 risk roles supporting major change, migration or integration programmes, ideally within financial services or insurance.
  • Deep understanding of risk management practices, including risk identification, assessment, mitigations and reporting.

  • Highly organised and results-focused, capable of prioritising multiple activities and delivering high-quality outputs to senior audiences.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present clearly to executives and risk/audit professionals in both written and verbal formats.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and agile environments (preferred but not essential).
