What is the Opportunity?

You will be joining the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) UK & Channel Islands (CI) team.


ERM UK & CI is part of Group Risk Management and is responsible for defining and implementing an effective risk framework and governance structure across RBC's UK, European, and Channel Island operations.


In particular this role relates to deliverables for RBC Europe Limited (RBCEL) and RBC London Branch (RBCLB).

What will you do?

Assisting the team in the production of deliverables such as the annual RBCEL ICAAP, RBCEL Recovery Plan, RBC UK risk identification exercise, and the risk appetite for UK and European entities. Preparation of monthly risk appetite scorecards and quarterly risk reports, including supporting management of credit portfolio data. Daily monitoring of early warning indicators (EWIs) for recovery planning. Assisting the team with the refresh of risk policy documents. Supporting risk governance activities. Assisting with ad-hoc requests as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline (such as finance, economics, accountancy or other quantitative discipline) Experience in financial services Good written and communication skills Strong analytical skills Ability to produce clear and concise documents Excellent presentation skills Good communicator and motivated Proactive and organised - delivery orientated Team player Attention to detail Problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-have

Good understanding of capital management, risk reporting, recovery planning, and ICAAP Understanding of regulatory frameworks - Basel III and CRD IV Some understanding of economic capital methodologies.
