Are you passionate about helping organisations to anticipate, own and mitigate risk? Do you resonate with our mission to use Science for Humanity? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for an independent and motivated individual to join our Property Division at Imperial.
You will be part of the Property Health & Safety Team and will play a pivotal role by supporting informed decision-making at Senior Leadership Team level. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a Division-specific risk strategy aligned with Imperial's central risk framework, with a particular focus on infrastructure resilience, statutory compliance, and operational continuity.
What you would be doing
---------------------------
You will maintain the Property Division risk register, monitor emerging risks, and report to senior stakeholders on risk trends, interdependencies, and control measures. You will also lead divisional business continuity planning, coordinate incident response readiness, and ensure risk management practices are embedded into key projects and transformation programmes. By supporting risk owners in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, you will enable more informed and proactive decision-making that contributes to the protection of Imperial's infrastructure, reputation, and financial sustainability.
Operating in a dynamic and complex environment, you will liaise with Imperial's central Assurance Team and cross-functional colleagues to embed risk practices across all aspects of Property Division operations. You will also contribute to a positive culture of risk awareness and resilience, supporting Directors in ensuring clear risk ownership, accountability, and continuity planning across the Division.
What we are looking for

An Institute of Risk Management Certificate / Diploma, or someone working to achieve this (training opportunities are available within the role for the selected candidate).
Experience of the complexities of operations relating to Risk Management, Compliance, Audit and Health & Safety.
