Gul is seeking a new team member to assist us on weekdays at our busy therapy yard. The role is based in Shrewton, Wiltshire and will include managing the welfare of our ponies, supervising young people and assisting in the general running of the organisation.
The ideal candidate is over 18 with their own transport, there is a possibility of accommodation with the role too. Equine experience and a willingness to work outdoors alongside young people are also preferred but all candidates will be considered and training is on offer for the right person.
Working as part of Gul Outdoor Therapy's busy team the successful candidate will care for, and assist others to care for Gul's herd of 21 native ponies, running or assisting to run its daily yard activities and taking part in its various school holiday time activities with young people. It is a fun place to work and extremely rewarding. while on the team you will also have the opportunity to become trained in Equine assisted services to Level 3 and to gain certification in Outdoor Therapy as Gul deliverers nationally recognised qualifications in these areas.
The role will require experience in stable and field management and equine care. along with the ability to manage your time, work independently and communicate with the wider team is essential. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
If willing there is also the potential for weekend work, term time only and overtime in other areas of the organisation too.
