We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to support recovery.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using IT systems. Lead group therapy sessions and educational workshops as required. Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing licence in mental health. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and patient management. Demonstrated leadership abilities in a clinical setting, with experience in guiding junior staff or students. Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferred but not essential.
