Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, support patients in their recovery journey, and promote mental health awareness within the community.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and medical histories. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions. Provide therapeutic interventions, including counseling and support for patients and their families. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional development. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Previous experience in mental health nursing or psychiatric care is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques is a plus.
