With customer satisfaction at the heart of our operations, we're looking for a skilled and safety-focused Road Tow Driver to join our growing team.

The Role:

As a Road Tow Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, legal, and efficient transportation of road-towable plant, trailers, and equipment between depots, customer sites, and projects across the UK. You will ensure all loads are secure, vehicles are roadworthy, and transport is completed in full compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Load, secure, transport, and unload road-towable equipment in line with traffic and safety regulations Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects Ensure legal weight limits and safe load distribution Complete accurate paperwork for deliveries and collections Follow site-specific instructions and maintain professional communication with clients Perform visual inspections of plant/equipment before towing Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles Adhere to driver hours regulations and company driving standards Report accidents, incidents, or near misses promptly Undertake relevant training to maintain competence

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Full UK driving licence with towing entitlement (e.g., BE category or pre-1997 licence) Experience towing trailers or plant equipment on public roads Knowledge of vehicle checks, load securing, and transport safety Strong Health & Safety awareness Good communication skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately

Desirable:

Valid Driver CPC (if applicable) Knowledge of tachograph and driving regulations (EU or Domestic) CSCS card or safety training for site access Experience in construction, hire, or utilities sectors First Aid or Manual Handling certification
