- Roadworker/Labourer

A P Transport is an experienced, council approved highways contractor providing a vast array of services encompassing groundworks, surfacing, tipper and plant hire. Operating throughout Gloucestershire and into Wiltshire, we are looking to expand our team in order to take on new work and to expand our capabilities.

The Role - Roadworker/Labourer

We are looking for a reliable individual, with a HGV licence and valid CPC to join our business, primarily as a Roadworker in our Tarmac Surfacing/Patching team.

Your main responsibility will be assisting the teams in the laying of the tarmac or kerbs and ferrying materials to or from site. You will also be expected to 'muck in' and assist with all aspects of the work being carried out by the team. This will include some physical activity such as pushing a wheelbarrow and manual handling.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. There is no requirement for staying away and night/weekend works are extremely infrequent and almost always optional. We will provide you with all the necessary PPE and equipment.

You will be based out of our yard, which is located on the outskirts of Cirencester

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will be hard working, reliable, punctual and polite. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work as part of a team. You will also hold a HGV licence, preferably with a valid CPC card.

Experience working with Tarmac would be an advantage, however, for an enthusiastic candidate, training can be provided. You will be working alongside skilled people, so will have the opportunity to learn from them.

Other certifications and tickets that would be an advantage are listed below. However, suitable training and development will be provided.
