Roads & Sewers Working Supervisor

to join our team and take a hands-on role in driving quality, productivity, and safety on site.

Role Overview:

As the Roads & Sewers Working Supervisor, you will lead on-site teams carrying out infrastructure works, including adoptable highways, drainage, and associated civil engineering tasks. You will work closely with site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, on time, and within budget. This is a

, where you'll be hands-on while also supervising and coordinating gangs, subcontractors, and plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Roads and Sewers Site Manager Supervise and actively work alongside site gangs on roads, sewers, and drainage installation. Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, RAMS, and company procedures. Coordinate labour, plant, and materials to meet programme requirements. Liaise with site management and engineers to resolve issues. Monitor quality of works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and adoptable standards. Support and mentor less experienced operatives on site.

Requirements:

Proven experience working on adoptable roads and sewers projects. Previous experience in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of deep drainage, highways construction, and associated works. CSCS Card (Supervisor level preferred). SSSTS/SMSTS qualification desirable. Streetworks, confined space, or CPCS tickets advantageous. Ability to work on the tools as well as lead a team effectively.
