We are seeking a skilled Roadside Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of broken down vehicles at the roadside to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Respond rapidly to reports of vehicle breakdowns. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections for company vehicles. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Shift patterns consist of alternating weekly Days / Lates / Nights, and working one weekend in three on an On Call basis at an enhanced rate. Fully equipped company vehicle supplied (excluding power tools).

Requirements

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is essential. Relevant qualifications in automotive engineering or mechanics would be advantageous but not mandatory. As part of the onboarding process, we complete a number of pre employment checks including work references and criminal record checks.
