About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Roaming Catering Assistant to provide flexible cover across our school catering operations. You'll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food service and hygiene while creating a welcoming environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to various school sites in the Crewe & Nantwich area to provide cover (must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle)
Prepare and serve food and beverages, including cold food and sandwiches
Handle till operations and take customer payments
Deliver excellent front-of-house service including table clearing and customer interaction
Assist with stock rotation and restocking
Maintain high cleanliness standards in both kitchen and dining areas (sweeping, mopping, general housekeeping)
Be flexible and willing to learn - full training and e-learning support provided
Who We're Looking For:
Aged 18+
Previous catering experience is desirable
Comfortable working independently and travelling between sites
Able to work safely and follow procedures, including food safety and site regulations
Physically fit to carry out manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing
Experience working in correctional settings or with inmates is a plus (some of our locations may require this)
Must be eligible for and maintain correctional facility clearance if required
