In this role, you'll combine your technical know-how with strong communication skills to demonstrate, prepare, and support the sale of ground care machinery. From building walk-behind units to delivering field training and equipment handovers, your work will make a direct impact on customer satisfaction and sales success.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent Ripon Farm Services in the sale and support of ground care machinery, parts, and accessories
Build strong, lasting relationships with customers within a defined sales area
Conduct on-site demonstrations and deliver customer training
Prepare and set up new equipment, including walk-behind and handheld machines
Perform pre-delivery inspections and assist with equipment handovers
Use CRM systems and follow company sales processes to maintain compliance
Ensure machinery is invoiced before delivery and support follow-up on outstanding payments
Attend shows, customer events, and support internal teams when required
Promote the company and John Deere brand with professionalism and integrity
Assist in general depot duties including stock checks, pricing, and presentation
Adhere to all Health & Safety standards
What We're Looking For:
1+ years' experience in equipment sales (preferred, not essential)
Enthusiastic, proactive, and customer-first attitude
Good understanding of ground care equipment and industry practices
Confident using digital tools, internet functions, and sales systems
Familiarity with John Deere and competitor products a plus
Strong analytical and communication skills
Flexibility to work extended hours when needed
Reliable, honest, and team-oriented approach
