We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roof Sheeter and Cladder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing and cladding systems on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction and related trades to develop their skills further within a professional environment.
Responsibilities
Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
Install new roofs and repair existing structures in accordance with safety standards and project specifications
Work with various materials and systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure precise installation
Utilise fabrication skills to shape materials for custom fitting and repairs
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Skills
Proficiency in reading technical drawings relevant to roofing projects
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
Knowledge of construction practices with a focus on roofing systems
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working at heights over extended periods
